European Young Endocrine Scientists (EYES) – Organ cross-talk in endocrine disease

Peter Aldiss

UK.

‘European Young Endocrine Scientists’ (EYES), founded in 2011, is a committee under the patronage of the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE). Our primary goal is to increase the mutual exchange of ideas and knowledge between early career researchers (ECR’s) across Europe, in both basic and clinical endocrinology. EYES enables ECR’s from all ESE member societies to actively contribute to the society’s activities and help them fully develop into the next generation of endocrinologists. We provide a platform for ECR’s in endocrinology to make them feel welcome at ESE and to familiarize themselves with the society’s conferences. This years’ session will once again give outstanding ECR’s a platform to present their research with a focus on the role of organ cross-talk in disease. With exciting talks on the role of glucocorticoids in the expansion of bone marrow fat and the winner of best oral communication at the annual EYES meeting this session is not to be missed! We invite all early career basic and clinical endocrinologists to attend and join us here and at the EYES networking event at ECE 2019.
