Background: Hypoparathyroidism is a rare endocrine disorder that is rarely seen in clinical practice. Resistance to parathyroid hormone (PTH) gives rise to specific developmental and biochemical abnormalities allowing for a diagnosis of pseudohypoparathyroidism (PHP) [1].
