Neuroendocrine tumors do not share many classical pathways of tumorigenesis with their non-endocrine counterparts. L10 – Biography

Professor Aurel Perren is Director of the Institute of Pathology at the University Bern since 2009. He did his pathology training in Zürich with a special focus on endocrine tumors. 2007 he was appointed Professor of Pathology in the Technische Universität München. His research focus lies on the histopathological, molecular and genetic analysis of familial and sporadic NEN with a special interest in pancreatic NEN.
