The influence of universal salt-iodization on the iodine status of County Mures, detected through TSH determinations in newborns between 2001–2006

Iodine deficiency in a geographical area can be quantified not only by urinary iodine excretion, but by the frequency of elevated TSH-levels in newborns, too.
