Background: The presence of the Y chromosome and Y-specific sequences (e.g: SRY, DYZ1, DYZ3, DYS132, ZFY, and TSPY, etc) in Turner syndrome patients is a risk factor for gonadal tumors (mostly gonadoblastoma) in dysgenetic gonads.
