Neuroendocrine neoplasia (NENs) are rare tumours that show features of neuroendocrine differentiation. Generally, NENs can be subdivides into high-grade neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs) and low-to-intermediate grade neuroendocrine tumours (NETs).
