Background and aims: European action for the Diagnosis of Early Non-clinical Type 1 diabetes For disease Interception (EDENT1FI) targets early Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) detection to reduce the risk of diabetic ketoacidosis, delay disease progression, improve long-term health outcomes and provide a ‘softer landing’ to insulin therapy.
