We recently showed that 5α-reduced metabolites of corticosterone (B), namely 5α-dihydrocorticosterone (5αDHB) and 5α-tetrahydrocorticosterone (5αTHB), possess similar anti-inflammatory properties to B, but have lesser metabolic effects.
