A global TC risk in a single thyroid nodule is rather small and ranges between 1 and 11%. However, taking into consideration Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology TC risk varies between distinct categories: 0–3, 5–15, 15–30, 60–75 and 97–99% for Bethesda class II–VI, respectively.
