Background: In southeast Scotland patients who have undergone resection of small intestinal neuroendocrine tumours (SI NETs) with curative intent are followed up by the NET team for recurrence. ENETs guidelines are that this should involve cross sectional imaging and hormonal assessment. Pancreatic VIPoma – a diagnostic and symptom control challenge

A case is reported of a man with stage IV grade 2 pancreatic VIPoma. At diagnosis he had several features which may have expedited the diagnosis including refractory diarrhoea containing undigested foodstuffs, alcohol-related flushing, electrolyte abnormalities and intestinal oedema on imaging.
