Paediatric diabetes is essentially a hospital based service with opportunities for care delivery in settings such as the home, school and community based organisations. Children with diabetes should be managed locally

Paediatric diabetes is a common, chronic, largely self managed disease. The problems children and young people deal with are complex and wide-ranging in scope.
