Materials and methods: A survey was 95 people (45 people with diabetes mellitus type 1, 50 people with diabetes mellitus type 2). The age of examined patients 39.12±3.8. The disease duration ranged from 6 to 20 years. Level of biochemical indicators – normal limits. Condition of mineral density of a bone tissue it was estimated by method of a dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). The analysis of DEXA researches showed that change of mineral density of a bone tissue at patients with diabetes of 1 type meets – 26 (57.7%), osteoporosis at 18 people (40%), osteopenia at eight people (17.7%); norm – at 19 patients (42.3%). DEXA analysis of studies in patients with type 2 diabetes showed that 21 (42.6%) patients occurs change in bone mineral density (in 8 (16%) patients – osteoporosis, 13 (26%) – diabetic osteopenia); the norm in 29 (58%). Our analysis showed that for patients with diabetes mellitus type 1 the most characteristic changes of DEXA parameters in three standard areas of study. While for patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 is characterized by changes in mineral density of bone tissue in two standard zones of the study. As well as that of patients with diabetes mellitus types 1 and 2 changes in mineral density of bone tissue previously only detected in the lumbar spine. In patients with diabetes mellitus types 1 and 2 was positive correlation between the duration of diabetes, diabetes compensation, the presence of diabetes complications and bone mineral density (P<0.05).
